Who are we and how did our website start?
 
Manchester theatre guide - John Thomson and Joanna Riding in Hobson's Choice ManchesterTheatres.com - the definitive guide to what's on at the theatre in Manchester, England - is the brainchild of the people who brought you PrideOfManchester.com, the website which celebrates life in the Rock'n'Goal capital of the world!Noticing that there wasn't many other sites on the Internet that listed every theatre in Manchester with any real local knowledge, we set about providing a guide to what's on and where to stay nearby.Not only can you see which productions, shows and gigs are coming to Manchester, but you can also buy tickets online and even book your hotel near the venue itself.
We provide information about each of the theatres; how to get there, where to park and seating plans too, and you can even sign up to our mailing list for regular updates and latest news about upcoming productions (click here to sign up). ManchesterTheatres.com doesn't just concentrate on the large theatres either, we created the 'other venues' page that covers all theatres and theatre groups in the North of England. If you are a smaller theatre or a theatre group and want us to list you, check out the packages we offer you. In September 2006, we added our new theatre website, LiverpoolTheatreGuide.com as we felt it would benefit all our Manchester users as Liverpool has many big names and top productions playing there and is fairly close by. In November 2006, we added our Birmingham theatre guide website too. In May 2007, we added our Oxford Theatres website. We intend to add other theatre guides in the future for other cities, including Nottingham, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Sunderland, Bristol and Cambridge.
 
How do you get listed or advertise with us?
 
ManchesterTheatres.com Although we are a business, we are not in this for the money and trying to 'make a quick buck' from people. We do not charge big fees. Go to our packages page to see our fees. We are confident of promoting your show and getting "bums on seats", especially as our mailing list is growing rapid and we dominate the top of Google on the result pages for most phrases.
We can also offer you the opportunity to have your current and future productions added to our theatre calendar which is visited by many of our online customers. We also have a mailing list of over 60,000 people (figure in Feb 2010) and this is growing by the day.We can mention your theatre and latest productions in our mail newsletters. Feel free to link to us as we have many banners for you to choose from too. Go to our linking page to see the banners we offer. If you'd prefer a different banner advertising our sites, we can make one for you to add to your site which will fit in with the look of your site, blending in with the colours on your site and the general appearance of your site. Other ways you could promote our site would be to add us in your theatre programmes and basically 'word of mouth', telling friends to log on to manchestertheatres.com. We are proud of our site and want people to know about us. If you love the theatre in Manchester and the North West, our website is relevant to you.

We receive many phone calls from people thinking we are the Opera House, Palace Theatre, Bridgewater, etc... WE ARE NOT A THEATRE, we are a website that promotes what is on in Manchester's theatres.
