From the intimacy of stripped-down folk music to the throbbing pulse of supplemental electronics, or an exquisite palette of groaning bass, pounding drums, and crunching distortion, Californian musician Chelsea Wolfe blends elements of gothic rock, doom metal, and folk.

Influenced by black metal and Scandinavian folk music, the filmmaker Ingmar Bergman and photographer Nan Goldin, Mojo have described her music as "Siouxsie & The Banshees territory, with treated strings, echoing drums and lashings of reverb surrounding her double-tracked, crushed velvet voice."

She has collaborated with Converge and recorded the soundtrack to the slasher film X.
