THE BON JOVI EXPERIENCE formed in 1983,
Bon Jovi is an American rock band from Sayreville,
New Jersey, fronted by lead singer and namesake
Jon Bon Jovi. Throughout their career, the
band have sold over 120 million albums worldwide,
and they performed more than 2,600 concerts
in over 50 countries for more than 34 million
fans. In 2006 Bon Jovi were inducted into
the UK Music Hall of Fame, and in 2004 they
were ranked number 14 in Q magazine's “50
Greatest Bands of All Time”. “The
Bon Jovi Experience” is an outstanding
tribute to Bon Jovi. They are the only Bon
Jovi tribute band in the world to have actually
played and shared a stage with Jon Bon Jovi
himself! (Fans will have thought there were
two Bon Jovis on stage that night, so much
does lead singer Tony Pearce resemble Jon
Bon Jovi!) Recreating Bon Jovi Live in Concert,
“The Bon Jovi Experience” perform
all the great hits: “Livin’
On a Prayer”, “Keep the Faith”,
“Bad Medicine”, “You Give
Love a Bad Name”, and many, many more.
Please note this event is standing.

Following
last year’s sell-out tour and sensational
performances on ‘The Royal Variety
Performance’, ‘Live At The
Apollo’, and ‘Michael Mcintyre’s
Comedy Roadshow’, the Welsh Wonder
is back on the road with a brand new show.
Last year, he punched a shop-assistant
over the duvet tog-rating system and went
berserk over a mince pie. Stung by accusations
that he over-reacts, this year Rhod sets
out on an emotional rollercoaster of a
journey to discover the truth. Is he,
as he believes, a visionary in a sea of
closed minds, or has he, as everyone else
believes, got anger-management problems?
Total sell-out, Edinburgh 2005-2008. If.
Comedy Nominee 2008. One of the hottest
names in stand-up today.

The US magazine Climbing once described
Andy as a climber with a “strange
penchant for the long, the cold and the
difficult”, with a reputation “for
seeking out routes where the danger is real,
and the return is questionable, pushing
himself on some of the hardest walls and
faces in the Alps and beyond, sometimes
with partners and sometimes alone.”
More succinctly, Metro magazine claims that
he “makes Ray Mears look like Paris
Hilton”. Andy's speciality is big
wall climbing and winter expeditions, which
involves pitting himself against a vertical
climbs of over 1000 metres (that’s
two and a half world trade centres), often
in temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees.
Andy has scaled Yosemite's El Capitan -
one of the hardest walls in America - over
ten times, including two solo ascents. One
of these ascents was a 12 day solo of the
Reticent Wall, viewed at the time as perhaps
the hardest climb of its type in the world.
In 2002 he undertook one of the hardest
climbs in Europe: a 15 day winter ascent
of the West face of the Dru. This 1000 metre
pillar pushed him and his partner to their
limits and was featured in the award winning
film 'Cold Haul'. Andy has also taken part
in three winter expeditions to Patagonia.
The stories that Andy has brought back from
these expeditions have become modern classics
in the climbing world and have brought new
meaning to the words 'epic' and 'cold'...
“I haven’t climbed Everest,
skied to the poles, nor sailed single handed
around the world. The goals I set out to
accomplish aren’t easily measured
or quantified by world records or ‘firsts’.
The reasons I climb, and the climbs I do,
are about more than distance or altitude,
they are about breaking barriers within
myself”. It is perhaps Andy's journey
from remedial student to successful climber,
writer and speaker that interests his audience
most. Brought up on a council estate in
one of Britain's flattest cities, Hull-born
Andy suffered from severe dyslexia which
went undiagnosed until he was 19. One of
his greatest strengths is his ability to
talk about his life and his climbs in a
way that is totally accessible to the non-climber
and allows the audience to experience the
risk and tension of big wall climbing. Andy
also works in film and TV, as a stunt safety
advisor and this plays a part in many of
his talks, which take you from the heights
of Patagonia to the chocolaty depths of
Charlie and the Chocolate factory!

The
Lancashire Hotpots take comedic observations
of the trappings of modern day life (Sat
Navs, Meeting women on the internet and
Shopmobiity Scooters) and added some infectious
melodies and created a live show where
singing, drinking and having fun are equally
important for both the audience and band
alike. In just two years, the Hotpots
have become one of the biggest live bands
in the North West of England.

Hard
rock legends Motorhead, have announced
that they will once again be hitting the
road for their annual UK tour this November.
2010 is a special year for the band, led
by legendary frontman Lemmy Kilmister
featuring Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee,
as it marks Motorhead’s 35th Anniversary
as well as the release of a brand new
studio album (further details to follow)
2010 will prove to be a busy year for
the band, not only will the they be embarking
on their usual UK tour this November,
complete with a brand new studio album
under their belts, the band have also
been confirmed for Download Festival,
helping to celebrate 30 years of unrivalled
rock/metal at Donnington Park (of which
they have been an integral part, having
played there on 4 separate occasions).
It doesn’t stop there though, Lemmy
will also be returning to the silver screen
with the release of ‘Lemmy: The
Movie’ later this year (further
details tba). Having spent the last three
and a half decades proving that as far
as they are concerned, everything really
is louder than everything else, Motorhead
will pull out all the stops to make sure
that their 35th Anniversary tour is not
one to be missed. On the band’s
35th Anniversary tour, Lemmy had the following
to say: ‘35 years and still going,
who would have thought- almost like f***ing
matrimony and no divorce in sight’.
Make sure you’re down the front
to celebrate with them when the tour thunders
through a city near you this November.

Jimmy
Carr – Laughter Therapy. Since the
turn of the century Jimmy has been a ‘fun
slinger’ of international repute.
‘Laughter Therapy’ is his
ninth solo show. It’ll be an evening
of none stop jokes, gags and banter. If
you’ve got a sick sense of humour
then maybe laughter is the best medicine.
Not to be taken if you have a sensitive
disposition or an overactive moral compass.
Recommended dose: one brand new show to
be taken annually (I said annually). «
