EXCLUSIVE
OFFER - £5 TO SEE THIS INTERACTIVE THEATRE
AT THE LOWRY THEATRE ON THURSDAY 13TH MAY &
SUNDAY 18TH JULY 2010.
Manchestertheatres.com and The Lowry are pleased
to be able to offer a £5 ticket
deal for Dystopian Wonders and Domini
Public (Public Domain) for the 7pm performances.
Dystopian
Wonders - Renowned show-woman and magical
performance artiste Marisa Carnesky brings her
spectacular walk-through show experience,
Dystopian Wonders, to The Lowry’s Galleries.
Famed as the creator of Carneskys Ghost Train
(now permanently situated in Blackpool) she
first gained attention with the fabulous Duckie
and their Olivier award-winning cabaret show
C'est Barbican. Since then she has been creating
spectacular and kooky shows for over a decade,
mixing illusions, theatre and burlesque. Guided
by a morbid show-woman who takes you through
her bizarre exhibition of curious nameless bodies
expect to meet the extraordinary in an evening
full of surprises – but be wary how close
you get to the exhibits and indeed the proprietors;
both have dangerous implications!
Domini
Public (Public Domain) - A group of
people walk across the Plaza while listening
to questions and instructions on headphones.
Who are they, where do they come from and what
is their relationship to each other? Some are
more innocent than others. The same can’t
be said for the result. Through the participants’
simple movements, small groups start to form
in the audience. These micro communities expose
underlying social patterns and tell a tale that
Domini Públic carefully orchestrates.
What starts off looking like a 3D poll brought
to life ends up transforming into a bizarre
fiction.
The
offer only applies for the performances taking
place at the Lowry Theatre.
