A Tribute to Jilly's Rockworld

A celebration of a Manchester institution, the legendary Oxford Road rock club opened in the 1970s - originally known as Fagan’s before being renamed Jilly’s in 1983 - attracting punks, rockers, goths, metalheads, skaters, moshers and indie kids to its labyrinth of rooms for more than twenty years before sadly closing its doors in 2010 to make way for a Tesco Express.
Famed for its all nighters, DJs pumped out non-stop rock, metal, punk, thrash, emo, ska, goth, industrial, alternative, nu-wave and indie across four rooms, with 1300 rockers letting their (long) hair down and dancing the night away to the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Limp Bizkit.
