Alexander Whitley Dance - Overflow

Alexander’s recent, awe-inspiring production 8 Minutes took audiences on a breath-taking journey to the sun. His company’s new work, Overflow, is a compelling and timely exploration of the human condition in the era of big data, when personal information is used to predict our actions and human behaviour has become the most prized raw material of the economy. Featuring an exhilarating new score by Ryan Lee West (Rival Consoles), costumes by award-winning designer, Ana Rajcevic and a kinetic light sculpture from Children of the Light with creative technologists Fenyce and designer Guy Hoare.

Alexander was an Associate Artist at DanceEast (2014 -2016) and formerly an Associate at Rambert and is currently a New Wave Associate Artist at Sadler’s Wells Theatre. We have worked with Alexander on many different levels over the years, including dance workshops within schools. Alexander’s work is a great introduction to dance – his innovative approach to choreography and technology is ground-breaking and we are excited to see the possibilities this relationship creates for dance.
