Courteeners
Led by talismanic singer/songwriter Liam Fray, the Mancunian stadium rockers and former Manchester United ball-boys have evolved from raw anthemic indie rockers to groove-laden indie kings.
Each of their seven albums has gone Top 10, with the brash Mancunian attitude of their 2008 debut "St. Jude" - with its hits "Not Nineteen Forever" and "What Took You So Long?" - later making way for the addition of brass, strings, synths and a sweeping 80s-influence, emerging with an even tighter set that delves into electronica and disco grooves.
