Dave Haslam & Cressa In Conversation
In the 1980s, Cressa was hailed in i-D as 'the face of Manchester', he went on the road with Happy Mondays, and was onstage with the Stone Roses at their big shows and their first TV appearance. In the mid 1990s he co-founded a band called Bad Man Wagon, became close friends with both Damien Hirst and Joe Strummer but then disappeared from view. What happened next? He became addicted to heroin, and homeless.
Dave Haslam's new short format book "Not All Roses; The Life & Times of Stephen Cresser" tells his story, a profoundly moving insight into the world of music and the depths of addiction.
To mark the publication of the book, Dave Haslam and Cressa will be in conversation at this event, which also features an audience Q&A, and, at the end of the show, they will both be available for a book signing session.
