When his mum's battle with dementia ended, Manchester comedian Smug Roberts wanted to contribute something to the fight against it, so he wrote a one man play about the seven stages of her cognitive decline.

As someone who has personally experienced the impact of dementia, he understood the challenges families face in caring for their loved one.

But he also knew that even in the face of this condition, there are moments of love, humour, and happiness that can be celebrated, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, love and hope can prevail.
