Duran Duran

Birmingham New Wave idols Duran Duran were one of the first bands to truly capitalise on the new frontier of MTV. With a run of high concept, high-end production videos to innately catchy funk rock singles, the band’s rise to stardom was practically meteoric.

With over 100 million record solds, the band have achieved UK top-five albums in five consecutive decades (1980s to 2020s), and US top-10 albums in three decades (1980s, 1990s and 2010s), topping charts around the world with "Hungry Like the Wolf", "Ordinary World", "Is There Something I Should Know?", "The Reflex", "The Wild Boys", "Union of the Snake", "Notorious", "I Don't Want Your Love", "Serious" and James Bond title track "A View to a Kill" among other hits.

With a line-up consisting of four of their famous "fab five" - Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, and Roger Taylor (not to be confused with the Queen drummer, and no relation to John, or the band's former guitarist Andy Taylor, whom it was announced at Duran Duran's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, has been diagnosed with incurable stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer).
