From Venice with Love - Dishing Out Memories
A special evening showcasing creative responses from five Greater Manchester artists who spent a month at the 2024 Venice Biennale, supported by the British Council, Lowry, Venture Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Touchstones Rochdale.
The artists include Amy Townsend-Lowcock, Caitlin McHugh, Isabella So, Emilia Hewitt, Michael Nash and Milena Nixon.
As part of the British Council Venice Biennale Fellowship Programme, these artists spent a month supporting John Akomfrah’s exhibition, Listening All Night To The Rain, at the British Pavilion.
Now, back in Greater Manchester, they will reflect on their experiences and present new work inspired by this unique opportunity.
Expect an exciting mix of talks, performances and artistic presentations, offering intimate insights into their journeys and the creative discoveries they made during their time in Venice.
