The first openly transgender solo artist to reach number one in the United States, international chart-topping German pop star Kim Petras reached no.1 in nineteen countries, including the UK, in 2022 when she collaborated with Sam Smith on the hit "Unholy".
Describing herself as a "Kylie Minogue stan first", she also scored a UK Top 40 hit with Nicki Minaj on "Alone".
