The International Artist Diploma (IAD) represents the highest level of performance achievement at the RNCM, welcoming a select group of exceptional artists each year who are poised to embark on international careers. In this series each artist designs a carefully curated programme to highlight their unique talent and artistic vision. 6.30pm | Kry?tof Kohout (violin) Czech violinist Kry?tof Kohout, soon to make his Carnegie Hall recital d?but, has established himself as a rising talent on the international stage. Recently, he performed Berg?s Violin Concerto at Barbican Hall and, as a laureate of the Bart?k World Competition in Budapest, played Beethoven?s Violin Concerto in the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy with the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Kohout?s recent projects include a new recording of George Walker?s rarely performed Violin Sonata No 1, created in collaboration with the Barbican Centre and BBC Radio 3 for their Total Immersion series. Scottish cellist Findlay Spence has performed worldwide as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral principal. Recent chamber highlights include appearances at Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and Berlin?s Pierre Boulez Saal. As a concerto soloist, Findlay has performed major works with leading British orchestras, alongside contemporary concertos by John Bevan Baker and Tom David Wilson. He has also participated in prestigious residencies, including the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme, Musethica, and the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival.
