Molchat Doma

In their short time as a band, Belarusian trio Молчат Дома ("Houses Are Silent"), have gone from whispered-about unknowns, to enigmatic underground icons, to legitimate viral sensations with hundreds of thousands of TikTok videos using their music.

They return as conquering heroes, expanding on the minimalist greatness of their earlier work to fully realise a more maximalist vision of their crystalline post-punk sound which has also been described as new wave, synth-pop, and cold wave.

Influenced by 1980s Russian rock music from the Perestroika era, most notably the band Kino, they have also drawn comparisons to both the Cure and Joy Division with lead singer Egor Shkutko's vocal style and on-stage appearance often compared to that of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis.
