Music for Parkinson's (Relaxed Performance)
Programme to include:
New miniature works by Megan Steinberg, Adam Gorb, Ella Laughton and Simon Knighton
With over 150,000 people in the UK affected by Parkinson?s and being cited as the ?the fastest growing neurological condition in the world? (Parkinson?s UK), the RNCM has joined a team of world-leading researchers to explore the role of music in the lives of people with Parkinson?s.
This special showcase highlights the outcomes of a recent project, where RNCM staff and student composers collaborated with researchers and individuals living with Parkinson?s to create brand-new music, crafted especially for and with them.
We?re always looking for ways to enhance our public performance programme and accessibility is high on our agenda. This Spring, we?re pleased to introduce several relaxed concerts as we strive to make our offer as accessible as possible.
