RNCM Wind Brass & Percussion Ensembles
Bringing you the best of small ensemble music as RNCM students, staff and visiting artists perform side-by-side in this lunchtime concert series, with tickets from just £2.50.
This lunchtime concert showcases the RNCM's School of Wind, Brass, and Percussion. A highlight of the afternoon features our staff and students performing Ruth Gipps’ Seascape. Scored for ten wind players, Gipps was inspired by the sounds of the sea in Kent and wrote it in 1958 for the Portia Ensemble, founded by Gipps herself and made up entirely of women.
