Restored in 4K for a "Martin Scorsese presents" release, Rocco and his Brothers is considered one of the last, and greatest, neo-realist films.

Directed by Italian maestro Luchino Visconti and starring Alain Delon in one of his most iconic roles, Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola are among the filmmakers to cite it as an influence. 

This hypnotically beautiful tale of relocation, loss and sacrifice charts the fortunes of a family who move from a farm in the rural south to find work in modern Milan during the industrial and economic boom. 

Of the five brothers accompanying their mother, Rocco is tasked with trying to manage the hedonistic appetites of his sibling Simone. They both enter into the shadowy world of boxing, but when they also fall in love with the same woman, Nadia, their loyalties are tested and the family threatens to break apart.
