Shallipopi
Nigerian rapper, Afrobeat singer, and songwriter Crown Uzama (a.k.a. Shallipopi) rose to mainstream fame in 2023 following the release of his single "Elon Musk", which peaked at number one on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music chart.
He followed up with his debut studio album Presido La Pluto, which peaked at number one on the TurnTable Top 50 Albums in 2023, reaching number five on the Apple Music top 100 albums.
The TikTok celebrity, together with with 30 other suspects, including his manager, were arrested and convicted for Internet-related fraud in 2023, paying a fine to avoid a two year prison sentence, cheekily releasing the track "Ex Convict."
