The Dandy Warhols + The Black Angels

A co-headline tour from the psych-rock favourites.

Combining psych-rock, shoegaze, power pop, synth pop and more with the cheeky detachment of their pop-art namesake, The Dandy Warhols are as good at heady daydreams as they are at satirical pop.

Early on, they scored hits with "Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth" (from their 1997 debut album, The Dandy Warhols Come Down) and "Bohemian Like You" (from Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia by 2001), both of which denounced hipster culture with a wit that suggested they were America's answer to Brit-pop.

Thirty prolific years after their debut, they remain at the top of their game with heavy and raw punk metal guitar riffs, taken from genre purists.

Since their formation in 2004 in Austin, Texas, The Black Angels have become one of the standard bearers of psychedelic rock, and remain masterfully faithful to pioneers of the style such as Syd Barrett, Roky Erickson, Arthur Lee and the members of the Velvet Underground, all quoted on The River, taken from their latest album, Wilderness of Mirrors (2022).

The group's global influence is consolidated by its much-loved and long-running festival, Levitation, a true hotspot for the past, present and future of the genre, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023.
