The Darjeeling Limited (15) + Hotel Chevalier (15)

A double-header from Wes Anderson with his 2007 film The Darjeeling Limited preceded by his short film Hotel Chevalier which, set entirely in a Paris hotel suite, is a short romance that also acts as a prologue to The Darjeeling Limited.

The Darjeeling Limited meanwhile follows the Whitman brothers, who haven’t spoken to each other in the year since their father’s funeral.

Francis Whitman arranges a train voyage across India with a plan to find themselves and reconnect as brothers. Unfortunately, Francis’s meticulously planned spiritual quest quickly turns into a chaotic bender, and they end up stranded alone in the middle of the desert with eleven suitcases, a printer, and a laminating machine — at which point a new, unplanned journey suddenly begins.
