The Irrepressibles
Manchester-based Yorkshire composer and indie singer-songwriter Jamie Irrepressible sets out on an intimate UK tour of beautiful churches and concert hall venues with his creative guise The Irrepressibles.
The artist changed his name from "Jamie McDermott" to "Jamie Irrepressible" in 2013, on his collaboration with Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp, in reference to "breaking boundaries in music and being honest about being gay in music."
A seven piece band of string, percussion and folk instrumentalists will surround Jamie’s emotionally intense and "sky scraping" voice for performances of a collection of new songs oriented around the piano as well as his compositions taken from The Irrepressibles’ previous albums including the now international hits ‘Two Men in Love’ & ’In This Shirt’.
