East Kilbride brothers Jim & William Reid's post-modern alt-rock band enjoyed Top 10 singles "April Skies" in 1987 and "Reverence" in 1992 among other hits which display their combination of guitar feedback and traditional pop song structures, which proved influential on the forthcoming shoegaze and noise pop genres and alternative rock scenes in general. They’ve served as an inspiration to everyone from My Bloody Valentine to Dinosaur Jr.
