In a town plagued by disaster, one man holds the job of breaking the worst news to its citizens, in director Bent Hamer’s latest oddball comedy.
Frank Farrelli lives in Karmack, a small American town with a dwindling population and limited jobs or prospects, governed by the Commision – the town’s Sheriff, Doctor and Pastor. But when strange deaths start to occur, the Commission employs a Middle Man to convey painful messages to bereaved relatives. Frank is recruited for the unusual task, beginning a journey into the hidden lives of his neighbours.
