Valery Meladze

Georgian-born Russian art rock star Valery Meladze, a Meritorious Artist of Russia, and People's Artist of the Chechen Republic, celebrates 30 years in the industry.

With his brother Konstantin Meladze, he founded the Russian-Ukrainian girl group VIA Gra (ВИА Гра) and has been criticised in his homeland for his anti-war stance, with Russian officials calling to revoke his citizenship after he was filmed repeating support for Ukraine at a concert in Dubai.
