Voices of Resilience - A Celebration of Gazan Writing

An evening of Palestinian writing with Kamila Shamsie, Maxine Peake, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and special guests.

In the face of wholesale genocide, the resilience of Palestinians has, over the last six months, been an inspiration to artists and resistance movements around the world.

Tonight we celebrate some of those voices, with readings from Don’t Look Left, a new diary of the genocide by Atef Abu Saif (published by Manchester’s Comma Press), along with other poetry and writing by Palestinians, in Manchester and Gaza.

With special performances by Ahmed Nehad, Shamshad Khan, Kamila Shamsie, Maxine Peake, and Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Love, Barbie, Secret Invasion), and appearances by Mushier El Farra and others. All proceeds from ticket and book sales will go to Gaza relief charities (MAP, MECA, Sheffield PSC Emergency Relief).
