The O2 Apollo Manchester is a Grade II concert venue in Manchester with a capacity of 3’500 (2514 standing, 986 seats). It opened in 1938, originally as a cinema and variety hall and began to host music concerts 1960’s. It is one of Manchester premiere concert venues.
The O2 Apollo, formerly known as The Manchester Apollo, covers all music, including rock, pop, jazz, musical theatre, and comedy acts. It’s hosted The Beatles, David Bowie, The Jacksons, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John (Freddie Mercury joined him), Tina Turner, Michael Buble, Michael Ball, Peter Kay, and was featured in the film 24 hour party people.
