WHAT'S ON AT THE O2 RITZ, MANCHESTER
O2 Ritz is a Grade II listed building and a live music venue known for its sprung dance floor. It has a capacity of 1500. Built in 1927, it was originally a dance hall before becoming a nightclub in the 60’s. Following varied ownership, in 2015 it was acquired by Live Nation Entertainment as part of the O2 Academy Group.
The O2 Ritz has seen megastars such as The Beatles, R.E.M, Morrissey, Happy Mondays, Adam Ant, and The Smiths premiered there in 1982. It is a multi-use venue space, capable of hosting anything from live music concerts and gigs, to a filming location, weddings, shows, productions, parties, conferences and award ceremonies.
