What's On at Lowry, Salford

Lowry at Salford Quays opened in 2000 and boasts two theatres, a drama studio, galleries, and events spaces.  The Lyric is the largest UK stage outside the West End with a capacity of 1730. The Quays has a capacity of 440.  It hosts diverse events and shows from operas, dance, musicals, plays, comedy, exhibitions, visual / digital arts, and workshops.

A registered charity, Lowry offer free creative participation opportunities.  Their eight partner companies are Access All Areas, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Far From the Norm, LUNG, National Theatre, Ockham’s Razor, Opera North and Rambert. 

Lowry has many great shows lined up including Chicago, To Kill A Mockingbird, Death of a Salesman, The Red Shoes, Death on the Nile, Blood Brothers, SIX, The Addams Family, Dear England, Derren Brown and The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe.  See what's on at Lowry below and book tickets online.

The nearest parking is available at the Quayside multi-storey car park (formally Lowry Outlet).  For further information, please click here.

 

The tram offers the closet stops to Lowry.  Media City UK and Imperial War Museum are the nearest metrolink stops.  Click here for a metrolink map.

The nearest train stations to Lowry are Eccles Train Station, Irlam Train Station, and Salford Train Station.   

The capacity of The Lyric theatre at Lowry is 1730.  The capacity of The Quats Theatre is 440.  The capacity of The Aldridge Studio is 150.  For further seating plan information please click here.

If you would like to buy a ticket in person from Lowry Box Office for shows commencing that day, for AM shows they open for 1 hour before the show and close 15 minutes after the show starts.  For PM shows they open 2 hours before commencing that day and close 15 minutes after the show starts.
