First discovered while busking on the streets of Manchester, new indie talent Alex Spencer has already been hailed as one of the UK's most promising songwriters at just 16 years old.
Combining infectious guitar lines with his street-savvy voice & coming-of-age tales of youthful exuberance, Alex’s rousing debut EP ‘One Step Forward’, which was recorded when still at school, reflects a maturity & natural songwriting ability far beyond his years.
The EP was met with widespread acclaim & earned radio play from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, XS Manchester & BBC Introducing.
Following on from his busking roots, Alex has become renowned for his captivating live performances and has gone on to support Jamie Webster at a packed Victoria Warehouse & Miles Kane at Camden’s Electric Ballroom as well as selling out one of his home city’s most iconic venues, The Deaf Institute.
