Among the most unique talents to emerge from the Jamaican reggae scene of the 1980s, Eek-A-Mouse (born Ripton Joseph Hylton) boasts an inimitable vocal style blending an unconventional melodic approach with rhythm and humour, which helped to define the term singjay.

Eek-A-Mouse is well known for pioneering his own style of scatting, differing from the-then toasting deejays in the 80s, which helped score the 2018 hit "Ganja Smuggling."
