Soul Asylum
One of the most successful American Alternative Rock bands of the 1990s, Minneapolis's Soul Asylum's folk-influenced grunge beared the roots of the Country-Rock revival with their triple-Platinum certified Grave Dancers Union album, which spent 76 weeks on the US Billboard music charts - spawning the Grammy-winning mega-hit Runaway Train (which reached no.7 in the UK), Somebody to Shove, and Black Gold.
They also enjoyed another double Platinum album with 1995's Let Your Dim Light Shine, with its hits Misery and Just Like Anyone.
